Opening a New Salon? Should It Have The Same Name, or a Different One?

Posted by Jeremy Augusta on

It is always an exciting time when you decide it is time to open another location. Having a second salon can significantly increase your revenue, which is always welcome.

Now that you have decided to open your new location, you have to ask yourself if you are going to use the same name as your other salon or a brand new name altogether.

To be blunt, use the same name. Having a second location with the same name is fantastic branding for your salon. Plus, it will actually save you a lot of money, time, and resources while growing your brand.

Suppose you have two salons, both with different names. In that case, you literally have to double all of your marketing efforts (your time), you have to create a second website (your money because websites and emails aren't free), a second Facebook page, a second Instagram account. Everything you need to do to open and run a salon must be doubled if you use multiple names.

When you use the same name, you save a great deal of time and effort. You also make your salon more prestigious, elevating your brand in your community. Having multiple locations by the same name will help you save money, gain more clients, attract more stylists, and have more financial freedom.
